Background
Community Nurse & Hospice Care is a local non-profit visiting nurse and hospice agency that has been serving the community for 95 years. The agency is committed to not only providing medical care, comfort and dignity to patients, but also to offsetting the financial burden that families may endure. Their goal is for no patient to forego needed healthcare because of insurance or financial constraints.
Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, the skilled nurses of Community Nurse & Hospice Care offer a range of home health care in the privacy of your home. Services include but are not limited to: skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, psychiatric nursing, wound care, hospice, bereavement support, nutrition counseling, Alzheimer's program, home health aides/private care, telemedicine, clinics, medical social work, wellness center and IV therapy. CNHC service area ranges from Buzzards Bay to Somerset.

Testimonials
In April, 2011, Judith Rego, one of our hospice volunteers was given the Hometown Heroine award by BankFive and WSAR.
“Knowing that patients are calmer and comforted gives me a great deal of satisfaction,” said Rego. “I enjoy helping them to feel at peace and appreciate receiving the award. I will continue to do my part in helping patients maintain their dignity and quality of life.”
